Julie popped in recently to pick up one of our new ponchos & looked lovely wearing one of our red Short Swing Jackets.

She bought it in 2014 as a gift for her mum who has since passed away, it's really special that Julie is wearing something her mum loved too!

This month owner of Merino Country, Kerrie, is taking part in the 100km Walk Challenge with Margaret & Kimberly Storey to raise funds for Cure Brain Cancer in memory of Rob Storey.

Brain cancer touches everyone and here at Merino Country we also wanted to remember Linda Hamm who worked with us and was also taken way too young.

Kym (our supervisor) and Linda first met when they worked together at The House of Jennings (Triumph Underwear), when they were 16 and 17 years old.

Kerrie first met Linda in 1998 when we had our first Merino un**es made by Kym at DR Manufacturing where she and Linda still worked together. They also drove to and from work in a van, Ipswich to Fortitude Valley - would have loved to have heard some of their conversations!!

After Linda re-married in the early 2000's she came and worked for us when we had the shop in Paddington. She made some of the first samples when we got our very first government contract to supply Merino thermals to the Victoria Police. She and Kym still drove to work together with many funny stories being told!!

Linda & husband, Hammy, went to Mt Isa for a few years and when they came back she came and worked for us again.

Linda was an exceptional machinist, had no filter and we still remember so many funny moments - she's sorely missed.

It's because of people like Linda and Rob, who should still be here, that we're raising funds for Cure Brain Cancer
