While in a taxi, the driver was tuned into a radio station I don't often listen to, featuring a discussion about Gen Z's interest in activities like and , referred to as 'grandma hobbies' in a somewhat mocking tone by the [male] presenter.

These pursuits are genuinely rewarding, they actually foster calmness and resourcefulness.

For those who have texted asking me whether I was still doing alterations / hems , please know that YES, I still do.
[I also provide sewing lessons because I want to teach [mainly] kids how to be more independent and confident]

See below:
1. Hems shortening fees start from $25, includes : measure, cut, sewing [hand or machine] steam press , dry press, ready to wear

2. All other alterations that might require some complicated modifications, I charge $30/h, and the job will also include the above tasks so you can wear your garment right away.

We still can't believe this is what 6000 kg of fashion waste looks like. We throw this out every 10 minutes in Australia.
