A few months ago, I had the pleasure of making the Obsession gown for Kirstin van der Flier Design from The One | Home of Bridal Couture in Ireland

Kirstin wanted to add some custom flower details, asymmetrically scattered on the shoulder and lower bodice. Of course this sounded fun, so I set about making some options for her.

I used the same Taffeta as the gown, cutting and burning each petal by hand, then layering them together.

I may have been a little too enthusiastic to begin with, making the first flower so large it took over the mannequin. A little boldness never hurts right?

Being that she is based in Dublin, I ended up sending over a mixture of sizes that she could play around with. See the last photo.

It kind of makes me want to add a new design with flower details? Fun right?

HEY LONDON 👋 We have new samples arriving to Bridal Boutique in London and Hertfordshire very soon. The MILK, STRAWBERRY, NECTAR, RAVEN, FIG AND VALENTINE are on the way!
While this mostly sounds like an ingredient list for a cake, I assure you, they are beautiful gowns that were all made in our Melbourne studio.
