Not all cargo pockets are created equal, and where they sit matters more than you'd think.

A pocket placed too low catches on ladders and scaffolding. Too high, and it digs in when you bend or squat. Well-engineered cargo pants position pockets to sit clear of movement zones, with bar-tacked corners so the weight of tools doesn't tear the seam over time.

Two words that sound identical but mean very different things on a job site.

Flame-resistant fabric is inherently non-flammable, woven from fibres that won't sustain a flame. The protection is built into the material itself and never washes out.

Flame-retardant fabric is regular fabric treated with a chemical coating. It works, but that coating degrades over time and washes.

If your work involves heat or ignition risk, check which one you're actually wearing.
