Another day in island paradise

Indigo dyed batik Dress by Elder Emily Murray from Girringun Art Centre on the runway at Country to Couture in Darwin this year. The garments have been styled with natural dyed woven accessories from Arnhem land, but unfortunately they have not listed the designer/s. Looking forward to running more Indigo Batik Workshops with Girringun members later this year.

Girringun Artists/designers made it to Vogue!! The indigo dyed batik top and skirt is by elder artist Emily Murray and the dress by Erica Muriata. I’m so proud of the artists and so proud to have been a part of creating these beautiful unique pieces full of stories and culture. i
