On Saturday 25th September Murrii Quu Couture attempted my greatest achievement producing my first fashion event -FASHIQUE RUNWAY - The Most Glamorous Sustainable Fashion Event In Cairns - a sell out event - with local wanting to purchase tickets - the evening events as a beautiful Cairns affair, with local models & designers, showcasing sustainable fashion in a range of looks, styles and manufacturer techniques - the runway trailblazed ahead - inviting our local recycling outlets to put together a collection for the runway - the evening was MC'd by the gorgeous Mrs Yolande Entsch - she keep the guests engaged - the message attached to Fashique Runway - was to shine a light and bring awareness - how we shop, manufacture and dispose of clothing - creating less impact on our environment - guests enjoyed an evening of fine dining - a fashion show with a difference - and to seal the night of event - Naomi Wenitong and Simone Stacey from SHAKAYA got the audience moving to their hit songs "Stop Calling Me" - it was a full night of pure entertainment - mixed with fashion, that sent a message out, caring for our environment - fine dining and local talent - designers, models, FR crew and guests travelled long distances, kangaroo Island, Brisbane, Mackay, Mission Beach, Darwin and Perth - it was a successful event - I would like to acknowledge all the wonderful and talented professionals who gave support - believing in the message Fashique Runway was trying to express through to our community recycled, repurposing, up-cycled, natural /organic products, limited editions and home grown - Fashique Runway is more than a fashion platform - it is a fashion event that delivers a strong message regarding the well-being of our environment - I hope more of our community get behind the Fashique Runway 2022 - we are not a competition - we are an extension and will continue to be an important event of Cairns events calendar - acknowledgements extended to our sponsors and supporters - Cairns Local News -Yolande Entsch - Empowering Women Empowering Communities - FNQ Dance Academy - GudjuGudju - Radi8byMel - ReynaJayBeauty Sheikbeauty.makeup.hair - Jarawee - Junily Harewood Production - Trent White Photography - Hype Content Cairns - Lina Luki Photography - Bridey Walsh - Creed Custom Designs -Tessa Beswick - Noel Gertz - Kimberley Andrews - Renae Jean - Leigh Harris - Unga Folau Tupou - Suzi Dang - Carli Summer Willis, ABC Radio - Tropic Now - Our Designers - Our Local Recycle Departments Stores - Our Model's and Murrii Quu Couture
