VF❤️Shanghai to Zhangjiajie . 7hours , 1280 kms . Maximum speed 341 . Try sitting on a squat toilet at that speed lol 😂. An early Didi ( uber ) took us to the station quite swiftly so we arrived early . Always a good thing when doing something new . We used our passport going thru security. Just like an airport really . Got on the train and the attendants were just delightful ( even if they did try to sell me a massage device for my neck and shoulders ) made the trek 6 cars down to the dining car . They kept the carriage s**c and span mopping and collecting rubbish . They even asked us to be in a promotional photo shoot for the train marketing . We are infamous now lol 😜.. We had some snacks and a vege rice bowl for lunch and a green tea with real leaves .. nice … arrived safely and now to enjoy nature in Zhangjaijie ( the land of Avatar ) . The train was fab and the experience was easy … ☺️🇨🇳❤️

The one major thing I noticed about Shanghai since our last visit was the air quality…nearly all electric vehicles… makes a huge difference. Even the trees aren’t dusty . We ended up walking 46kms in 3 days 😁

VF❤️Travelog China 🇨🇳 a few days in Shanghai. Wow … ( in a nutshell ) I think my adrenaline has come down after yesterday . lol … think the pics say it all. I must say Shanghai is much cleaner than I remember, most vehicles and bikes are electric .. no honking or spitting .. no pushing .. a lot of fun … one more day to explore and do lots of walking . summer here is quite humid . My umbrella is open for the sun or the rain showers 😘

VF❤️ Travelog .. Shanghai .. from the leafy French concession area to Pudong and Shanghai Tower ( 3rd tallest in the world ) under the river in the sightseeing tunnel to the Bund and Nanjing Road . An amazing day .. humid , heady and grateful to travel here . Everyone is very friendly . A smile goes a long way ☺️

Vf❤️Travelog China 🇨🇳.. after a brief wait at Singapore Changi airport we caught flight to Shanghai . 51/2 hours and landed on a sunny morning .. found our driver who took us to The Kulun Hotel situated in the French concession area .. ( a trip down memory lane as we stayed here in 2012.. a comfortable old style hotel .. it used to be the Shanghai Hilton .. love the energy and the views from the 38th floor brought up so many memories .. now to refresh and explore …
