Friends! It’s been a while! Let’s chat! 👀🩷
After sliiiightly overdoing it and losing my spark after the (unsuccessful) launch of Sierra last year, it’s taken me quiteeee some time to find my creativity again and get back into making. I poured a lot of hard work, hours and love into that collection in an attempt to appeal to the masses who were telling me that neutrals were all the rage and that’s what would sell out for BBL.
Well… it turns out, that’s actually not the case and the people who follow me and actually buy from me aren’t overly keen on neutrals and are screaming for more colour in their lives.
I could go on, but for now let me leave all of you creatives with some key takeaway points that you probably already know…
🌸 Your work will never appeal to everyone. So stop trying
🌸 Make art that reflects your own likes and aesthetics.
🌸 Don’t listen to people who have “great ideas” for your business/creations if they don’t actually buy from you or aren’t your intended audience
🌸 Trends are stupid
