This pantry craft is a favorite activity of ours for
Itβs a great way to use leftover dried beans and even expired garden seeds! We used salt dough (recipe below), or you can use air dry or modeling clay if you want it to last longer and be more weatherproof for out in the garden. Mod podge works well for securing seeds that are still loose once the clay has dried.
β¨ Easy Salt-Dough β¨
2 cups of flour
1 cup of salt
1 cup of water
Thoroughly mix the first two ingredients together. Gradually stir in the water bit by bit, until you get a dough-like consistency. Form it into a ball and knead on a floured surface for 5 minutes. (If the dough gets too sticky, add some more flour.) Roll the dough out flat (not too thin) and use a ceramic plate or round baking pan to cut out the circles.
