My next project is making the Belle Shirt from Issue 59 of

I have cut the fabric (Pic 1) and Pic 2 is what the finished shirt should look like 😊 I will start sewing it up tomorrow. Am I the only one who doesn’t like to cut and then sew straight away?

You may have seen that I have made this before but this time I am going to adjust the length of the sleeve to be a little shorter. I am also going to use a special tool to carefully make the buttonholes so I don’t slice into the shirt this time 🙄

Not sure how I feel about this piece. It is sickly over-the-top sweet but I don’t hate it. I keep looking at it trying to work it out. I think the beauty is in the small details rather than the big picture.

I wanted to rescue the bird embroidery which had three coffee like stains and was a little lumpy. I decided to play with the texture of the embroidery with more texture using doilies, lace and more embroidery.

Now what do I do with it?

It’s a bird! No, it’s a plane! Actually it is a bloody great tee!

The original was crying out for a trim and a little added drama to make it super cute and comfy.

It is a little small for me to model but I will ask Estelle to try it on later to show it off a little better. Meanwhile, I am off to my day job. Have a great Tuesday!
