From her inner-city Canberra studio Christine has become one of Australia’s leading milliners. A p Member of the Australian Millinery Association since 2001.

A professionally trained model milliner, she is invited to European hat festivals, teaches when she finds the time and has been creating original designs for the heads of our nation’s capital for almost 20 years. When Canberra’s elegant feel a need to attend a military parade or embassy reception, a race carnival or garden party, a wedding – traditional, quirky or (vice-regally) internationally, l

This little Sailor Cap/Pillbox design, is an old favourite (one of my first blocks). It actually fits on like a cap sizes 56-58, or can be worn back on the head held on with a comb. It's light and easy to wear.

Handmade lovingly by me, round and round on my sewing machine, then blocked. Lined in matching sinamay.

It's the last of this glossy blue textured braid.

💙 Ayumi's Cowgirl Fedora

Custom made for my creative friend Ayumi Clay by Ayumi who is a brilliant Japanese potter. And is exhibiting/selling her exquisite pieces today, at the "Canberra Potter's Society" Event in Watson.

All my pieces are handmade by me in my home studio, using traditional and contemporary and some vintage materials.
All thoughtfully slow made with no waste.
