in 1961 the local Finley shoe store was purchased by our family and & it became "Barbers Shoe Salon"
So began our lives in Finley. All 6 children in our family went to Finley Primary School & Finley High school. The business has always been a family footwear business, my Dad would say we catered for every foot from the "Cradle to the Grave" :)
The business employs local people and has a great relationship with all of them. Located in Finley & Cobram

📣 – A Message for our customers

For over 60 years, Barbers ShoeX has been part of the heart and footsteps of this community.

From the first pair of school shoes in Finley in 1961, to four decades in Cobram, we’ve grown alongside this region — meeting families, friends, neighbours and visitors from right across the Murray. We’ve had the privilege of fitting people for everyday life, work, celebrations, travel and milestones.

To everyone who walked through our doors — thank you for supporting local. Thank you for choosing us for your footwear needs.

Now after decades of serving our communities, we’ve made the decision to offer Barbers ShoeX for sale, it’s time for us to hang up our boots and enjoy our retirement.

This isn’t goodbye just yet — it’s a thank you and a hopeful invitation that someone local, or someone who loves regional retail as much as we do, will step in and carry the legacy on by continuing to serve the region with quality footwear and trusted service.
