Aklanda Knitwear was founded in 1988 with the intention of producing quality knitwear to last a lifetime. Since then, the manufacturing and fashion industry has shifted in Australia, yet we have stayed dedicated to our philosophy of creating knitwear composed of 100% Australian Merino Wool that is manufactured locally in our factory in Melbourne, Australia.

Design for longevity: Our knitwear designs are high quality, timeless, classic and staple pieces for your capsule wardrobe.

Sourcing and production: Sourced from Australia, our knitwear is composed of 100% Merino Wool and manufactured in our factory in Melbourne, Australia. We focus on a made-to-order system to reduce the waste of materials, resources and the impact on the environment.

Ethical work conditions and fair wages: Australia’s manufacturing standards allow us to provide our hard working team with exceptional working conditions, a positive work space and fair wages to reflect their incredible value.

Repair and maintenance: In order to extend the life span of our garments, we will mend any wear or tear that may occur free of charge.
