The airborne attack fleet has arrived 😂.

They’re a special fish down here in NSW, a wonderful sports fish, high yield and delicious on the plate.

Very frustrating at times when they’d rather launch 🚀 several metres into the air rather than chomp your lure!

The Cuddler was the hero on this day, attracting 8 of the 11 bites.

Roly boys first reef trip had it all!!!

The long drive, a psycho night in the swag in midgie central, topwater trouts, GT’s, airborne spanno’s, manta rays, sea snakes, a mixed bag of ooglies and many sharks!

Sleeping on the boat for NYE and waking up on the reef with my boy 🥰… there’s no better party than that!

A couple of New Year’s Day coffee tables, it was a gift to catch these special fish with Roly on the boat!

The first time Roly witnessed a healthy GT detonate on a sticky will be something he never forgets… Roly calmly puts his topwater outfit down and says “Dad, that was pretty psych!! I didn’t sign up for that” haha and he quietly went back to jigging trout!

Roly trip post to come, the photo sizes wouldn’t align.

PE 8/10 Spartan SP and P, paired with the mighty Saltiga 25 18k, 100lb J-braid and 200lb Daiwa nylon leader doing the job.

A few of the better pics from very terrific trip South chasing Topwater Yellowfin Tuna.

A special mention to and the friendship’s we’ve created and the network we’ve established is precious. Without it these things are unlikely to happen.

I’d always asked my Father to take me to Bermi chasing YFT, back in the 80’s (I was a proper pup mind you) and never fulfilled that dream. This trip was a step better, to be fortunate enough to be able to take Roly on his first YFT trip to the OG YFT zone… dream come true!

Enjoy the pics everyone. The fishing was incredible!
