💐🥂🎉 Ten years ago today, on Melbourne Cup Day, I opened the doors to The Farmer’s Wife.

That same afternoon, Michelle Payne made history as the first female jockey to win the Melbourne Cup, a local lady, from just around the corner. I remember standing there, watching her cross that finish line, thinking, “What a sign.” It felt like a perfect omen for a new beginning full of courage, beauty, and feminine strength.

Since then, our story has grown in ways I could only have dreamed of. From that first store to Daylesford in 2020 and Kyneton in 2024, every step has been guided by heart, community, and the belief that beautiful things are best shared.

And at the heart of it all is our incredible team. They are the soul of The Farmer’s Wife. The warm welcome, the laughter, the styling magic, and the genuine care that make our stores such special places to visit. Their passion, kindness, and love for what they do make every day shine a little brighter.

To everyone who has supported us over the past decade, from our wonderful customers to our cherished team I say a big thank you for being part of this journey.

We’ve been working on something truly special to celebrate this milestone, a little something for the women who have become part of our story. And we can’t wait to share it with you...
