🧡 We get the cutest customers 💜🥰. How gorgeous is Margie, giving a heartfelt testimonial about her Serena bag?! Happily she found the very last one made from Bridget Bunduck’s Echidna print - fabric sourced ages ago from Wadeye Women (now )
She came into our pop up at last weekend.

Fabulous!

Fabulous!

At just 19 years old, Chloe Mandijarra walked the 2025 KAFTA - Kimberley Aboriginal Fashion Textiles Art runway in her own designs. She was back for 2026 with new designs and a new model.

Before joining the Women’s Hub, Chloe didn’t know where to begin.

“I had no clue where to start. The Hub helped me step-by-step — from learning how to design, plan and sell, to believing in myself.”

With support from the Hub, Chloe created her clothing brand, Blue Desert Eagle Designs proudly walking the runway in pieces she had designed and made herself.

“That was one of the proudest moments of my life. I never thought I’d be standing on a stage like that, doing something I created for myself.”

Chloe has also turned her artwork into a homewares collection, printing her designs onto cushions, and travelled to the Ord Valley Muster where she sold her work and shared her story with real customers.

Today, Chloe works every day, is applying for her own home, and has become a role model for younger women at the Hub.

Her journey shows what can happen when young women are backed, believed in, and given the tools to bring their ideas to life.

This delightful lady from Cairns (sorry, forgot to grab your name) is visiting her daughter in Darwin. Mindil Beach Sunset Market is a must-do for visitors. She absolutely looooved our bags and left with five in different styles and prints. These two are Merrepen (sand palm) by Gracie Kumbi in a Nancy Bag and Crocodile skin (the lesser known version) by Aaron McTaggart in a Serena bag. Both fabrics from

Vicki and Karen from Perth were at last night. They found us and then found our Zero Waste fabric necklaces made from the tiny fabric remnants left over from bag making. Every one of them is unique and carefully put together by our partners . Spot the fabric design. They both chose black/grey/white tones but they come in a fabulous range of colours.

So we got stuck into some printing the other day at PrintshopNT. This classic design has been pining in a sketchbook for a few years. Only recently got onto a screen. The artist .lee.90 is printing.

Our lack of experience didn’t stop Danella and me from giving it a red hot go. It was pretty epic and after four hours we had a total of 11 t-shirts of semi reasonable quality 🤪 Look out - this is just the beginning…..
Available soon (but not that soon).

Mega thanks to Nina for letting us into that amazing space and for getting it on screen.
