Love what you do!

After many years of wanting to visit and travel Peru I finally got there in 2016 ..just on the other side of 50 years young! I stayed two months, volunteering and travelling and loved the experience. I have also always loved the clothing from there, and this consolidated an idea I’d had to bring it over here (after meeting contacts there). I now attend markets every weekend selling beautiful Alpaca jumpers, shawls, ponchos, blankets and many more Peruvian products. I love what I do (even though it really is hard work!) I hope for decent weather each weekend, but still go even if it’s too hot, too cold, or even raining....(there is a limit with the rain).

I will visit Peru again one day, and my dream is to have a little shop somewhere in Melbourne - maybe a shared space with like-minded people. However, markets are a constant thing for me now and the beginnings of selling online. (I still prefer the face to face method).

I am a sole trader, working hard to earn a living on her own - and with faith, good ethics and perseverance I hope to get there. I will always have a love of South American culture ( can’t help moving to that music!) and continue to use my Spanish language to communicate with people in Peru. I hope by making my products available I also make the people that buy them feel good!

My motto in life is you have to give your passion a go...things cannot be put in the too hard basket or you will never evolve. I want to continue to nourish my own growth and by doing what I’m doing now I feel I can. As well as that, every market or every event I attend is a mini-adventure where I never know what the day will bring and who I will meet. (I can no longer imagine being a 9 to 5 kind of girl!)
