We approach end of financial year with a special Winter SALE event over coming days. Enjoy a special offer on a selection of leather goods, with a few extra pieces being added throughout the week from the workshop.

Now might be the perfect time to secure some leather goods for work and travel. Enjoy discounted prices on a selected range of Saddler & Co leather products. We will add a few more items weekly, but please be aware our handcrafted items are limited — made in small batches — so we recommend ordering while stock is available.

A bag for all seasons | part 2

Throughout the years of motherhood, we found ourselves designing and making a collection of pieces to serve the particular need of the moment.

The Saddle bags were designed to be easily slung over the body while hands were holding on to our precious boys, our dogs, and wheeling a pram to the grocery store.

This is a personal curation of designs that were formed in the midst of our own family life. Worn into each stage of motherhood and every season.

A bag for all seasons | part 1

Throughout the years of motherhood, we found ourselves designing and making a collection of pieces to serve the particular need of the moment.
The original Market and Classic tote bags have become an iconic brand design for us, and we’ve carried them for over twelve years. The first editions were sketched by Jemima’s hand, then crafted by Bede late at night in the work room. There was something deliriously exciting about creating something new, in the precious ‘inbetween’ alongside the needs of our little boys and newborn cuddles.
This became the first of many, the start of a personal collection of designs that were formed in the midst of our own family life.

The Market Tote bag was made intentionally with ample room for all the extra items I found myself carrying to care for the baby. I’d take it from play group to markets and weekend trips. When I gradually returned to work, the laptop and water bottle could also fit. It’s a bag that keeps on going, adjusting to life. Worn into each stage of motherhood and every season of daily life.

We only make a few batches per year and the Market tote sells out quickly. Don’t forget to put your name on the waitlist to be first to hear of a restock.
