This week, we celebrate our incredible volunteers.

From welcoming guests in our accommodation centres to helping run our Recycle Shops, our volunteers are a vital thread in the fabric of our community. Every hour, every smile, and every kind gesture helps connect people, provide comfort, and support families as they face the challenge of cancer.

🌟 A huge thank you to City of Greater Geelong for their generous grant, which will help create a more welcoming and comfortable space for our incredible Volunteers at our Recycle Shop on Pakington Street! 🌟

This funding will ensure our dedicated Volunteers have a space where they can continue to support Fight Cancer Foundation to make a real difference. By shopping at our Recycle Shop, you’re not just finding great deals, you’re also directly helping cancer patients and their families access life-saving treatment while they stay at one of our accommodation centres. 🏥❤️

Following from their popular 9 X 5 Art Exhibition and Auction, the Fight Cancer Foundation Swan Hill Branch are hosting a new Art Exhibition over the June Long weekend!

This art exhibition is open to showcase and celebrate art works of all types. From painting to drawing, crafts to photography, it is their ambition to provide a space for artists to exhibit, promote and sell their work.
This is an exhibition of works only and is not a competition, there will be no judging or prize money. This is an opportunity for artists to exhibit their works and for these to be sold to patrons attending the exhibition.

As we reflect on National Volunteer Week 2024 we would like to highlight the commitment and service of our Volunteers to Fight Cancer Foundation each and every day. It is because of our Volunteers that we can continue to build stronger communities, create meaningful change and support many Australians impacted by cancer.

We are grateful to each and everyone one of our Volunteers who are working tirelessly in our Recycle Shops and Accommodation Centres. You are helping fuel the fight against cancer, one stay at a time. Thank you for everything you do!

A grade 3 breast cancer diagnosis was the last thing that professional athlete, teacher, and mother of three, Kim, had planned for.

With six weeks of radiation ahead of her in Albury – a two-and-a-half hour round trip away from her Northern Victorian property – we thankfully found Kim a room at our Hilltop Accommodation Centre in Albury Wodonga.

With rising cost-of-living pressures, we need your help to ensure our affordable accommodation remains affordable for people like Kim.

Cancer treatment is hard enough; but so much harder when your treatment centre is far from home.

Kim and her husband’s farm was a two-and-a-half hour round trip from Albury Wodonga Cancer Centre, where she was to receive treatment.

Thankfully, we had a room available for Kim at our Hilltop Accommodation Centre close to the Cancer Centre, but there are many people like Kim, desperate to secure a room in one of our accommodation centres.

With rising cost-of-living pressures, we need your help to ensure Australians dealing with cancer have a home-away-from-home during treatment.
