Smart and social, orcas make a wide variety of communicative sounds, and each pod has distinctive noises that its members will recognize even at a distance. They use echolocation to communicate and hunt, making sounds that travel underwater until they encounter objects, then bounce back, revealing their location, size, and shape.

Our save the Whales bracelet is in direct support of the Australian Marine Conservations Societyโ€™s Whale campaign. Proceeds from the sale of this bracelet are used to support the work of the AMCS.

โ€œWhales are intelligent gentle giants and have inspired awe throughout the ages. Yet accidental strikes from shipping, plastic pollution, entanglement in fishing gear, and commercial whaling threaten our whales โ€“ risking a future in which they are just a memory. Our goal is to create global sanctuaries that give our whales shelter, reform fisheries to tackle bycatch and give our whales a chance to recover from decades of whaling. We also calls on strong international pressure to protect whales from commercial whaling by Japan, Norway and Icelandโ€ -AMCS
