It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we announce to our customers, friends, and family the passing of Francesco Biancuzzo, fondly known as the little Italian man.

Dad took his final breath early Sunday night, surrounded by his beloved Antonina and his sons, who held him tightly, not wanting to let go. Dad battled the demoralising disease of dementia. Despite fighting a losing battle, he faced it with a carefree attitude, showing incredible strength and resilience.

Central Shoe Store has been a part of our family since 1958, and it has operated as a shoe store since 1907. As a true icon on Marine Terrace, Dad’s legacy will live on, and he will be deeply missed by the Geraldton community ❤️
