Jody is first and foremost about quality. Quality design, quality material and quality finishing. Jody is also someone who cares passionately about making her clients feel good about themselves. Most of us are not used to seeing our shape, well-fitted. Most clothes are bought off the rack and aren’t designed for our unique body shape. It takes a designers eye and many years of experience to know w

hat works best for different shapes. What Jody does is design clothes that are specifically designed and created for the particular body-shape and features of the client. Not a flat-pack piece, but a unique piece commissioned especially for you. The result is truly empowering. Her clients feel confident from the inside out.

Hello all,

The idea for The Satchwell was originally partly inspired by a toolbet and progressively mirrored the inner working of a handbag. So of course, I had to try my hand at a leather version. Fun, right?

Now, picture this: very limited deadline, limited funds and limited leather know-how. But somehow, out of that predicament came the leather Satchwell. I’ll share more about the whole process and the small team of people that helped me get it right soon!

And naturally, I couldn’t leave the gallery without trying it on — as you can see. Let me tell you, it feels fricken amazing to wear. The lining? Soft, structured, and pure silk. An absolute dream.

You can see her in person at the Michael Reid Gallery in the Southern Highlands. If you’re passing through Berrima, drop in and have a look!

11/9 at Michael Reid Gallery, Southern Highlands 11B Old Hume Highway, Berrima NSW.

The Satchwell is not just worn — it is lived in. A sculptural hybrid of handbag and dress, it reimagines how we carry, store, and move through the world. With seven integrated pockets, it transforms function into form, turning an everyday gesture — the act of carrying — into an aesthetic experience.

Presented in dialogue with Lucy Vader’s Weather Report at Michael Reid Southern Highlands, NSW, The Satchwell draws from the same elemental forces — cycles of change, adaptation, and renewal. It is a wearable landscape: elegant, tactile, and charged with motion.

The Satchwell will be showing for few weeks starting 11/9 at Michael Reid Gallery, Southern Highlands 11B Old Hume Highway, Berrima NSW.

Hello lovelies!

So… turns out I couldn’t afford Bella Hadid (not yet, anyway ), so I had to step in for the modelling duties myself.

When you hit 50, you realise the small stuff just doesn’t matter — so move over, Bella! Judging by these shots, I might just be the next emerging model on the scene. 😂

Dress: The Satchwell, of course crafted in 100% printed Italian silk, named “Brushstrokes” by the creative team at Kahlon Studios.
Shoes: Miu Miu model’s own (that’s for you ).
And yes — she’s got the seven iconic pockets, all lined in Italian silk.
Catch The Satchwell on show with The Weather Report all throughout October at the Michael Reid Gallery, 11B Old Hume Highway, Berrima NSW.

I feel honoured to have been invited by the truly amazing, ultra-talented painter Lucy Vader to join her exhibition “The Weather Report.”

Lucy’s work is pure joy — her use of pinks, yellows, and oranges has this incredible way of capturing mood and movement. Her pastoral scenes and weeping willows were a huge inspiration for my pieces in the show.

If you’re wandering through the Southern Highlands this October, make sure to stop by and soak up The Weather Report — it’s colour, craft, and countryside all rolled into one.

Thank you Lucy!

Hello all,

I’m beyond thrilled (and a little giddy) to announce my first-ever gallery showing!

Thanks to the wonderful Lucy Vader, I’m collaborating with her in an exhibition that brings fashion, art, and storytelling together in one space. It’s been a long, careful journey getting every garment just right — but seeing them finally come to life on display makes every stitch worth it.

On show: the new Satchwell Collection, featuring a luxurious Italian suede lamb’s nap piece, a bold denim pleat, and, of course, the soon-to-be-iconic seven-pocket Satchwell dress and skirt.

Visitors will also have the chance to try on a calico sample of either the dress or skirt and choose from a range of stunning Japanese silks and an exclusive Kahlon Studio print — a truly made-for-you experience.

My work will be showing for few weeks starting 11/9 at Reid Gallery, Southern Highlands 11B Old Hume Highway, Berrima NSW

Hello everyone,

Wait… it’s the end of March 2025? I had to do a double-take because, for a second, I was convinced we were still in 2024!

Time has clearly been playing tricks on me, but that might be because I’ve been completely consumed by an absolutely wild project. It has taken over my life in the best way possible, and I cannot wait to share it with you soon.

For now, here’s the tiniest sneak peek. Does it reveal much? No. But what I can say is… this design is exceptionally functional. Every detail has been carefully considered by blending form and function in a way that I’m truly excited about. That’s all you’re getting for now!

On a side note, the shop is currently open by appointment only while I wrestle with this creative beast. If you’d like to visit or need something made, just send me an email or give me a call—I’m always happy to make time.

Hope you’re all doing well, and I promise, big things are coming soon!

Hello All,

As 2024 comes to an end, I wanted to take a moment to reflect. It’s been a challenging year for all of us in the retail sector, but it’s also been filled with incredible projects, amazing collaborations, new designs, and meaningful milestones. It hasn’t been all doom and gloom, and I’m truly grateful for the bright spots.

I’ve decided to keep the "Third Place" window installation up because it’s just too beautiful to take down (thank you for all your wonderful messages and compliments). Instead, I’ve swapped out the dresses with two of my favorite garments from past projects. Both dresses hold special meaning for me, as one collaboration introduced me to another extraordinary painter.

The works of Helen Gory, Robyn Burgess and hand painted silks by Mirjam Aigner were such memorable collaborations, and it feels right to showcase those dresses again. They pair so beautifully with the artwork by Diego De Nicola. If you have some spare time, come by and see the display—especially at night!

Wishing you all a safe and joyful New Year, and here’s to hoping 2025 kicks some serious arse. Thank you all for your incredible support throughout this year!

Hello all,

Here’s a little secret—I live in kaftans when I’m at home. I’ve always loved their freedom, comfort, and effortless elegance all year round.

Recently, my favorite kaftan became threadbare, which was a little heartbreaking. I tried shopping online for a replacement but found nothing that inspired me, most of the modern patterns don’t have the classic look of a vintage kaftan.

So, with some spare time and a beautiful piece of Missoni fabric I had on hand (originally meant for men’s ties), I decided to create a new pattern and make my own kaftan. Here it is—what do you think?

A few days of work later, I now have a stylish, comfortable, fully recycled kaftan that I can wear at home or out and about. Personally, I think kaftans should be an essential piece of homewear—so much more interesting than the generic comfort of activewear!

If you’d like something similar, come by and let’s chat. You might even catch me wearing it at 447 North Road, Ormond.
