Shoutout for reaching out with the opportunity. We locked in and had fun building these for the boys. We made sure every detail was thought through, everything was done with intent.

But honestly, the best part’s been seeing the support behind the boys. The energy and love from their community is different… it’s rare to see that nowadays.

One of the first mistakes we made with GYMGEMS almost cooked us… 💀

At the very beginning we went hard on stock.

Instead of starting small, testing things, and building demand first… we ordered heavy because in our head it was like if we’re doing this, we’re doing 0-100 (well Holly did 😂)

But that’s the part no one tells you when starting a brand.

If the brand isn’t built yet, the community isn’t there yet, and the recognition isn’t there yet… going big too early just means you feel the pressure faster.

Real lesson though?

Before recognition comes the work.Before the hype comes the grind. So now we just take the lesson, adapt, and we kept building and stacking 🧱

Because mistakes in business aren’t losses… they’re tuition 💎🫱🏻‍🫲🏼

4 months deep in samples and honestly… none of them were up to our standards 💎

Different GSMs, fabrics, colours, fits, we exhausted everything. Some were close, most were wrong.
Exhausted time, energy, spent money and Holly and I were butting heads.

Scrapped batches. Started again. More than once.
But every sample taught us something. Neckline cleaner. Collar better. Fabric better. Weight finally right.
Slowly it started feeling like us 💎
This is why we push premium.

Not for a label but because of the work behind it.
The intention. The standards. The time people never see.
Most people only see a tee with a design…
They don’t see 4 months of refining one piece.

Now you know why the value is in the details
and why we’ll never do “good enough.” 💎
