I've seen founders spend months refining logos, websites, packaging and campaigns, yet very little time defining what they actually stand for.
The challenge is that fashion has never been more crowded. There are more brands launching, more content being created and more competition for attention than ever before.
A beautiful aesthetic can help get people through the door, but it's rarely enough to make them remember you.
The brands that stay with us tend to have a perspective. They know who they are, who they're speaking to and what they want to be known for.
Just as importantly, they know what doesn't align with their brand and they're comfortable saying no to it.
The longer I work in fashion, the more I believe that having a clear point of view is one of the most valuable assets a brand can build.
Great fashion brands aren't built on aesthetics alone. They're built on product intelligence, operational excellence, emotional clarity and disciplined brand direction.
