Hello lovely’s I’m back from my break and am ready to take on business again. On that note book week dress up was on Wednesday and my daughter decided on the white witch from the lion witch and the wardrobe. It was challenging to make this one but as you all know I love book week ☺️

Hello my lovelies,

Book week dress up today 😝
Once again I have gone a little overboard 🫣
….lol 😂 ☺️
My girl asked for the queen of hearts ❤️ and I was like “awesome!” 😊
I made everything out of an up-cycled red doona cover, a black bed sheet, a poker table runner I found. Left over fabric and beads and I even made the collar out of a coat hanger hehehe 🤭 The only things I bought was some gold and black lace and jewelry and of course I bought the crown and the flowers on her cuffs and hair.
It was so much fun! And I’m super happy with the results 🤩
And my girl had been perfect preforming her “off with their heads” 🤣🤣🤣
So proud of her sass lol 😆😜❤️❤️

One of my favorite things is making costumes! They are just so much fun!!
And with book week coming I had the opportunity to make another for my little girl who loves dressing up. 😆 So I asked her what do you want this time? And it was Cleopatra! And so before we got too carried away with our ideas I had the idea to pop in and out spotlight (one of my favorite shops ever!) the couple of months before book week to see what was available for this idea. I picked up things here and there that I thought might work… showed my daughter who loved the fabrics I got … and the idea was born!! She sketched out what she think it should look like and then I did a more detailed sketch, and she told me what she liked in it, and what she didn’t… because having a mum that sews can make a very fussy 9 year old 🤭…
and of course she gets it from me hahaha…

I found out that like my little girl I absolutely loved the idea of making her a pharaoh! And may of got a a little carried away with some of the finer details 😅 but in the end we have a happy 9 year old who absolutely had to wear her costume to the ancient Egyptian exhibition at Perth Museum 🤣🤣
Even before book week dress up lol 😆
And of course a happy mum because her little girl was over the moon ❤️

It’s always lovely to have the school holidays with the kids, it’s also lovely to send them back to school sometimes as well. With that in mind I offer a special prices to alter school and sport team uniforms. So with school going back next week don’t forget to check if the kid’s uniforms are still fitting well. And give me a call to get them back before school starts. I will pick up and deliver in the Secret Harbour, Golden Bay, Singleton area. Otherwise I am located in Golden Bay.
