Going back through my photos, I came across this one from when we first opened the doors to our little shop… and it really made me stop and appreciate just how far we’ve come. 🥹🤍
Sometimes when you’re so busy working on something every day, you don’t actually stop and look at how much has changed.
Border Babies started with just a few items, an idea I believed in, and a whole lot of passion, time and love poured into making it work — all while raising my little girl alongside it.
There have been countless hours behind the scenes, late nights working from home, plenty of money poured straight back into the shop, and lots of days with Billie right there beside me while I try to build something I truly believe our community needed.
And in just under two months of having our shop open, seeing what it has grown into already feels pretty incredible.
From the new faces walking through our doors each week, to the families who have supported us since Border Babies was running from our home, it has been such a privilege to share this little idea with our community.
We knew there was a need for something like this locally, but the love and support we’ve received has been more than we could have hoped for. 🤍
Times are tough and money is tight for so many families. Being able to create a space where beautiful children's clothing can be exchanged, reused and loved again — while helping families stretch their budgets that little bit further — is exactly why Border Babies exists.
So I just wanted to share a little before & now. 🤍
Less than two months between these photos, and so much has already changed.
Thank you to every person who has exchanged with us, shopped with us, donated, shared a post, told a friend or simply walked through our doors. Whether you found us last week or have been here since the days of exchanges from our home, you have helped make Border Babies what it is becoming.
We’re still learning, still growing and still figuring things out as we go — but we’re only just getting started.
And I’m so excited to see where our little community takes Border Babies next. 🥹🤍
