You can find cooking/crafting aprons

The vintage-ish style aprons are comfortably joined in the shop with other retro/classic items. 🥰

I just love these atmosphere, feeling nostalgic, over a cup of beautiful coffee. 🥰

I hope the aprons will be gone to someone who enjoys helping their mums and nanas, and creates the loveliest moment together. 😍😍😍

Alteration project, the Christening dress from size 1 to size 2.

This is the completed version.

Design is totally different but the dress was worn quite comfortably🥰.

This was quite good challenge, I enjoyed😆

Alteration project.
From size1 to size2 christening dress.
I love challenges!!!!

All of the fabric pieces are woven (not stretchy).

So I had thought & thought & thought…

To cut the upper bodice parts and extend the side seams using that parts.

Because the lace sleeves are not fitted, I separated them, cut and sewed to the upper chest and shoulder parts.

The customer prefers frilled lace around the arm holes. Easily done with my christening French laces collection😍 (finally I had a chance to use it!🤣)

I think I love alterations, ripping the seams and finding out the garment constructions😍😍😍

I was born in 1980🤣

This strawberry shortcake girl is quite modernised in this fabric.

And my daughter was watching this CG animated version the other day.

I feel happy that young girls in any eras continue to love, even though the style has been changed. So that we can say “ I used to love that” forever. 🥰😍

Quick Alteration project.

Transformation from a toy carry pouch to a nail care set pouch.

My mother made and sent this carry bag/pouch for my daughter.

But it was too plain and soft.
I unstitched the zip side, inserted a firm stabiliser, stitched fold over elastics for nail polish and filers/tools and closed along the zip seam.

There were nail polishes and nail care things everywhere in the house, now it is ORGANISED😆

I made a final shape of an Obi-decoration part with a firm stabiliser (for hat) and a wire, using pairs of pliers and diagonal cutting pliers, a hammer, and duct tape.

It was a quite bigger job than I expected 😅.

Every time I handle and stitch with a vintage fabric, I always wonder what the unknown previous owner was doing, thinking, studying, etc. and what she had been through…🧐🤓

I love history.

Obi belt (parts of the wedding dress project🌹)

Width 10cm.

In order to make the obi thinner (compared to Japanese kimono style), I cut it and stitched instead of fold in 1/3.

And prevent falling during any movement, i have attached elastic with hooks so that it is adjustable (you can extend before a dessert time 🍨😊😍)

I am about stitch hooks to close to make it look like just one-piece of belt.

I wonder how people makes “obi-belt” without falling down. 🧐🤓

The belt suits beautifully with a black dress too! 😍

Leotard is perfect fit!

Naomi is 4 years old (turning 5 in next month),

but her measurement sizes are;

Trunk: 2.5
Chest: 1-2
Waist: 1-2
Hip: 3
Thigh: 3

The pattern needs to alter to fit her.

She may wear this leotard for a few months, and I will make a new one soon, it’s a good practice for me😃🤓

Besides, we can donate “pre-loved” leotards to the gymnastics centre for charity too, which is great! 🤩

Anyway, she was very very happy, and of course, confident. 😆🤣😅

I need to clear my brain to think how to alter the wedding dress. So this is a little break.

It took only a few hours. And the fabric I used is very tiny amount. 🤣 so easy. 😍😊
