Leonora Carrington lived at 194 Calle Chihuahau, Mexico for more than sixty years. It was here that her cousin, journalist Joanna Moorhead, spent time with her famous cousin before she died. “I could see,” writes Moorhead in 'The Life and Art of Leonora Carrington', “that I had a huge amount to learn from her. There comes a moment in every creative life when a dream refuses to stay quiet. Poet began like that - quietly at first, then with urgency. An idea I’d carried since childhood: a fashion label not ruled by trends or algorithms. Not just clothing, but a way of expressing who you are - before you even speak.

For years, my world was built in words. As co-founder and editor of New Philosopher and Womankind, I immersed myself in ideas - commissioning writers and artists from around the globe, and exploring what it means to live a meaningful life. My book 'Flourish' is both personal and philosophical - a deep dive into how we live well, and why it matters.

Now, I return to an earlier language. With Poet, I’m creating the label I could never find - the one made for those who think deeply and dress with intention. For women who are curious, cultured, creative.

Crafted in Tasmania, Poet lives where wildness meets elegance. Every piece is released in ultra-limited, numbered editions - wearable artworks made to endure. The shapes are timeless, the details considered, the feeling unmistakable. We believe in slow hands, hand-written notes, and clothing that invites conversation.
