Join us at Foodpro next week to celebrate our 65th anniversary, where we will be showcasing our new ‘ennioEARTH’ range of products made from EU Certified compostable materials; the Rigid range now with Australian Standard certification – the most stringent in the world.

The range includes ennVIRO-NET Rigid Strings elastic netting products that are currently undergoing testing for compostability – and are essentially eco-versions of its Classic range – and the very latest, world-leading and fully compostable FRUITennVEG netting bags for fruit and vegetables.

Our compostable produce netting bags are poised to play a leading role in reducing plastic waste to landfill and will be shared publicly with the food packaging industry and visitors for the first time at Foodpro.

ennio International is pleased to launch ennio FRUITennVEG - Compostable Produce Netting, an ennio EARTH product.

As of July 2022, non-compostable plastic packaging products that do not meet Australian Standards must be phased out. By 2025 it will be a requirement for 70% of plastic packaging to be recycled or composted (National Plastics Plan 2021).

In South Australia, it has just been announced that plastic produce barrier bags are to be banned from 1 September 2024.
