What is an Arms Fair?

If you’ve never been to one, an arms fair is about more than what’s on the tables.
It’s about community, conversation, and learning from people who live and breathe this space.

You’ll see a mix of new and historical items — from modern gear and accessories through to collectables and displays that reflect the history of the shooting and hunting community.

Some items require the appropriate licence, some don’t — and the best way to understand what’s what is to come along, ask questions, and see it for yourself.

Whether you’re new or have been attending for years, the Beenleigh Arms Fair is a relaxed, welcoming event well worth the visit.

We were told to trust them to lay them down
That safety was bought by surrender alone

Then came the knives the machetes too
Tools of trade of work of history
Family heirlooms quietly redefined as threats
Confiscated with a stroke of a pen

Every year they circle duck season
Wetlands filled with law abiding hunters
Harassed filmed abused
While those doing the harassing face no real consequence at all

They banned bowhunting in Tasmania first
Then South Australia followed close behind
No real parliamentary debate
No voice for the people just ideology pushed through
Under the banner of a green agenda
That has never set foot in the bush

Now they are coming for everything

Not just assault weapons
But grandpas old rifle he handed down to you
The deer rifle that fills your freezer
The tools that connect you to land tradition
Self reliance and responsibility

They dont see culture
They dont see stewardship
They dont see food on the table
They only see control

And if we stay quiet
If we keep believing surely this is the last step
We already know how that story ends

Because it never stops with one more law
It stops only when there is nothing left to take
