• Spring • is in the air 🌸✨. With a shift in the season is a great time to shift the energy in your bedroom by changing your bed linen. Making changes for the rest of the year.

It has been a long winded and timely process, but I am delighted to have final completion these two quilts. The largest quilts I have made both 265cm x 255cm, thank you to a lovely lady in Bingara Jackie More Than Sewing in the main street in Bingara, who has a magically quilting machine. Who did an amazing job quilting these beauties.
Then a edges trim was the finishing touches. 💛💕 & 💚💙. 🥰

Two different looks in one quilt ✨. Ginkgo biloba quilting pattern on white cotton 800-thread cotton sateen on one side, then green & blue textile patterns on the reverse. For days when you want more calm, with the option of a warmer, cosier look. 🤍💚💙

Ginkgo biloba is the only surviving species of a large group of gymnosperms that had its heyday in the Jurassic and Cretaceous, but originated even earlier in the Permian, from which 280 million-year-old fossils of the group have been found. Charles Darwin called the tree a living fossil. Stands of Ginkgo recently found in Zhejiang and Guizhou provinces in central China are believed to represent relictual wild populations. Ginkgo was once common throughout Europe and North America, but died out before or during the last ice age. The tree has long been cultivated as a sacred tree in China and Japan.
