Today we honour the enduring Legacy of a local legend.
We are deeply moved to share that the late Peter Kearsey OAM has been posthumously awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the 2026 King's Birthday Honours List. This prestigious honour recognises Peter’s decades of selfless dedication to the Inverell community, including his work with Legacy. While Peter is no longer with us to accept it in person, his impact will be felt for generations to come. His family will proudly receive the insignia at an upcoming investiture ceremony. Join us in congratulating Peter’s family on this beautiful, well-deserved recognition of a life spent helping others.

President of Legacy Inverell Pat McMahon drew the winning ticket this morning at Power Farm. Pat thanked Vicki and Power Farm for our support of Legacy Inverell and explained that the proceeds of the raffle will be an enormous help for the people who Legacy supports in our community.

Replies & payment for the President’s Luncheon are due by 06/03/2026.
Our Office will be closed on 5 & 6/03/2026. On these dates, please call 0488 22 1945 to reply & pay by card. Alternatively, you can reply via email & pay by bank deposit.
For those unable to pay by bank deposit or card, cash payments will be accepted at the Office on 3 & 4/03/2026 (9am-1p & 1pm-4pm) & on 09/06/2026 (9am-12pm).
Note: After the luncheon guests are invited to attend the opening for the new gazebo at the Legacy Units.
