I am incredibly excited to finally share something very close to my heart…

La Modista Australia will be making its runway debut at Face Of Fashion 2026!👗

For the very first time, I will be showcasing my debut collection, a collection inspired by my heritage.

For years, I have been behind the scenes... sewing, creating, altering garments and watching other designers bring their visions to the runway. I always wondered when my own “someday” would come.

And now…that "someday" is finally here!🥹

This collection is more than just fashion to me. It represents my heritage, my journey, the dreams I had to put aside for a while, and the courage to finally pursue them again.

No matter how far this journey may take me, I want my very first collection to remind me of where I came from and where my love for dressmaking first began.

I cannot wait to see my creations come alive on the Face of Fashion runway soon!

To all my beautiful bride clients who have entrusted me with your bridal alterations, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know your wedding dress is more than just a garment, it also carries your dreams, excitement, memories, and so much meaning for one of the most important days of your life.

Every time you place your dress in my hands, I understand the responsibility that comes with it. From the smallest adjustment to more detailed and intricate alterations, I put my heart, skills, and care into making sure your dress fits you beautifully and makes you feel confident when you finally walk down the aisle.

My heart is so full receiving these beautiful wedding photos from my lovely client.🥹💗

This wedding dress is extra special to me, not only because I had the privilege of creating it from scratch, but because the beautiful bride and I were primary and high school clasmates decades ago.

Our journey with this dress actually started two years ago in Canada, when we had the opportunity to see each other and I took her body measurements. From there, came the conversations, the planning, choosing and finalising the design, and eventually bringing her dream wedding dress to life.

Last April, I finally created her dress in preparation for her July wedding. Every step of the process felt so meaningful, knowing that I wasn't simply making another dress, I was creating something for someone who had been part of an earlier chapter of my life.

And then came the most beautiful part: seeing her wearing the dress on her wedding day! 👰

It means so much to me that, after all these years and despite the distance, she trusted me to create one of the most important dresses she will ever wear.

Thank you for choosing me and trusting my hands, my creativity, and my craftsmanship. It was such a pleasure working with you from the very beginning until the moment you finally wore your bridal dress.

I feel incredibly honoured to have played a small part in such a special chapter of your life. Seeing these photos and seeing how beautiful and happy you looked makes all the hours of work so worthwhile. 🥹🤍

I am now FULLY BOOKED for BRIDAL & FORMAL ALTERATIONS for AUGUST and SEPTEMBER.

Now taking bookings for October and onwards.

If you have a wedding, formal, special event, or other important occasion coming up later this year, I highly recommend booking your alteration appointment as early as possible to secure your preferred timeframe.

As a one-woman small business, I can only accept a limited number of bridal and formal garments at a time so that I can give each piece the care, attention, and quality workmanship it deserves.

📌 A KIND REMINDER ABOUT CONTACTING LA MODISTA AUSTRALIA

Dear valued clients,

I would just like to share a gentle reminder, especially for those who are new to La Modista Australia, regarding the best way to contact me.

Please understand that I do not operate as a traditional shop with staff available to answer the phone at all times. La Modista Australia is a one-woman business. I don't have a receptionist, assistant, or other staff member to answer calls or messages on my behalf.

If you call and I am unable to answer, it is most likely because I am with another client, conducting a fitting, pinning a garment, or working on alterations. When a client is in my premises, I believe they deserve my full attention and service, just as you will receive my full attention when it is your appointment.

At the moment, I am also receiving a very high volume of enquiries, and I sincerely appreciate your patience while I work through them.

Behind La Modista Australia is just one person trying to manage everything. If I'm not sewing, I'm serving clients. And when I'm not doing either of those, I'm also a mum taking care of my family and managing everyday commitments... from school drop-offs and pick-ups to errands, appointments, household responsibilities, health issues and everything in between.

I genuinely try my best to respond to everyone as soon as I possibly can. 💗

For those who are new to my services, I kindly encourage you to visit my website, where you will find information about my services and how my business operates, including the fact that I do not operate as a shop in the traditional sense.

📞 If I miss your call, please send me a text message.

I also try to listen to voicemails in between fittings and appointments, but with the current volume of enquiries, I sincerely apologise if I occasionally miss some.

Written messages are much easier for me to respond to when I have a moment between clients, sewing and family commitments. They also allow me to go back and check the details of your enquiry when needed.

ADVISORY‼️

Dear Valued Clients,

Please be advised that I will not be accepting more Formal Wear or Bridal Alterations throughout the month of September, as I will have limited availability during this period due to an upcoming event. However, I will still continue to accept bookings for basic clothing alterations during this time, and those who have bookings already for formal and bridal on September will still proceed as scheduled.

For August, I now have only 4 appointment slots remaining for Formal and Bridal Alterations.

If you have an upcoming event and require formal or bridal alterations, please secure your booking as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Once these remaining appointments are filled, I will be unable to accommodate any additional formal or bridal alterations before my September closure. My books will open again for formal and bridal on October.
