For over 30 years, this family-owned Katoomba boutique has helped locals and visitors alike find the perfect fit, from rugged Akubras and classic Panamas to elegant felt fedoras and cosy winter beanies.
Owner Trudi Francis, a dressmaker by trade, and son Patrick Doyle have turned the art of hat fitting into an act of self-discovery.
“A hat is an extension of one’s personality,” Trudi says. “It can transform an outfit and boost confidence.”
Among the many treasures is the Federation IV, designed exclusively for The Hattery and worn by actor Bill Nighy in the Australian film Buckley’s Chance (you can even see his signed hat in-store!).
