Central Coast Athletics needs everyone to support its quest to save adjacent parking at the Regional Athletics Track... The proposed Senior Housing Development threatens to take all adjacent parking away.
The picture below shows that this development will basically adjoin the track and remove all of the 600 spaces that have been available for the last 25 years.

Signing the petition was great but we are in our final round to save or loose the parking.
The Independent Planning Commission has invited submissions and speakers to have one last say before they approve the project, or allow some concessions. If you can speak . its max of 5mins!!. Otherwise please take the time to place another submission see the links on the FB page

Tomorrow we farewell a stalwart of Central Coast Athletics.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Neil Hinton, a truly cherished and deeply respected pillar of our sporting community.

Many will remember Neil as the coach who was a constant fixture at the bottom of the 100m track ever since it first opened. He was a quiet, dedicated contributor to making athletics great on the Central Coast, generously giving his time as a coach, mentor, official, and volunteer to train countless athletes to State and International levels.

Neil was one of the truly good people in the community, respected not only for all he achieved, but for the genuine kindness and care he showed to everyone around him. He will be missed dearly.

Where in the World is Melissa Robertson? 🏃‍♀️👑 Our local ultra queen has been making serious waves down south!

Mel headed down to Victoria for the brutal Melbourne Frontyard Ultra at Brimbank Park. If you know the backyard format, you know it’s a mental game of pure attrition - one 6.71km lap, every hour on the hour, until you simply can't go anymore.

Mel pushed through the day, through the night clocking an absolutely mind-blowing 21 hours / 28 laps! That is over 180km on her feet. 🤯

Weekend Run Plans?

If you aren't racing in Sydney or the Blue Mountains, come join the local crew for some off-road fun! The Coast Cross Country Inc. program is in full swing every Saturday.

This week, we head to the Pearl Beach Arboretum, which is a beautiful rainforest run.

Where: Pearl Beach Arboretum.
Access: Opal Close, near the tennis courts.
When: This Saturday, 16th May. 2:30pm.
Distances: 2km, 4km and 6km.
