Almost a month since my last post, I've been across the world and back again. Thirty nine hours up in the sky and almost as long in airports, and I'd do it all over in a heartbeat. The older I get, the more I find spending time with my family and friends who have known me forever hugely grounding and restorative. Add in the Canadian summer sunshine and endless green, plus bonus Hawaiian beach, shopping, and botanical garden excursions, and I've come home feeling better than I have in quite some time ❤

Thank you to everyone who placed sale orders while I was away! They are all on their way to you now and the online shop is back to normal, albeit needing a bit of reorganising/design tweaks, which is on my very long list of thing to do. Dye pots are running today and I'm still in a quandry of indecision about an advent theme for 2026... last year's Hydrangea theme was so fun to create and turned out so beautifully, it feels like I've got very big shoes to fill!

I'm away, heading home to Canada for a few weeks, to spend time with family and friends, and a little side tropical side quest with one of my very best friends on the way over 🙌🌴🍹

I thought I'd take the opportunity to make a bit of room in my yarn tubs, so I've counted and listed all full sized skeins and marked them down a full 20% OFF while I'm away!

Mini skeins are not included in this sale BUT they will be having a small price increase once I'm home, due to the amount of time each takes to dye, untangle, hang dry and twist. So if you've had your eye on the new Mini Skein Beanie Kits or one of the Mini Stripe Scarf Kits, now is the time to snap one up before the price increase.

The sale runs until July 15th and all order placed from now until July 15th will not ship until JULY 20, 2026.

Well, it took me a few weeks rather than a few days to get pics for my new beanie pattern (I blame the the inconsistent Melbourne winter light and my need to keep adding more colourway options 😅) but the Mini Skein Beanie pattern and kits are finally now available on my website!

I've pulled together eight colourway options to choose from for the kits but, of course, you can always just pick out five mini skeins of my 4ply Merino or Watercolour Sock to create your own unique beanie. Leave me a note at Checkout if you do and I'll pop a printed copy of the pattern in for you!

This is a fast and engaging knit, I hope you all enjoy it - I can't wait to see some gorgeous, stripey creations!

My Mini Skein Beanie is finally only a few days away from release! I've finished my last 4ply Merino sample (shown with just ribbing completed in the first pic) and just need to layout the pattern and take pics for the colourway kits 😃

Colour samples now available! I've been saving up all the ties when twisting my hand dyed skeins for the past six months or so, collecting them in a vintage tin, sorting and filing them when the tin gets full. And now I've finally got more than enough of each colour to be able to offer colour samples for people who are debating between shades. I know it can be hard to choose a colour without seeing them in person, especially for a bigger project where a sizeable amount is needed, so hopefully this help!

The cards are $2 for four colour samples and include lettermail shipping within Australia. If you're already placing an order for skeins or a kit and would like to also see a few colours, just leave me a note at Checkout and I'll pop a bonus sample card in with the shades you're after 🥰

What an absolute cracker of a weekend!! Got to stay with some of my very favourite people at the absolutely beautiful in Warburton on Friday and Saturday. So many marvellous chats, great eats and inspiring projects took place (I cut out a bunch of wardrobe enhancements for future sewing and worked on samples for my upcoming mini skein beanie pattern as my car was too stuffed with wool for the usual craft weekend supplies!), followed up by a completely fabulous day at on Sunday 🙌🏻🔥🧶

Thanks to everyone who visited my stall at the show! Crafty folk are delightful people and I loved seeing your projects come to life in your heads as you ooohed and aaahed over my yarn - you all made for such a fun day 😃

Massive thanks to the team and all the wonderful volunteers. What an incredible event you’ve created, I’m already looking forward to next year!
