Itβs amazing to reflect that 30 years ago, in 1996, I was in my second year at South Metropolitan TAFE (then known as Polytechnics TAFE), studying a Diploma in Applied Fashion Design & Technology.
Since then, my passion for sewing and garment construction has grown into a lifelong career. I have taught hundreds of students valuable sewing skills through my work as a Home Economics teacher, as well as delivering Certificate II training in the very same course I completed years earlier.
Over the years, I have also had the privilege of helping brides achieve their dream look by expertly customising wedding gowns to fit beautifully and comfortably.
While bridal alterations remain a special part of my work, my daily sewing practice also includes tailoring bridesmaid dresses, mother-of-the-bride outfits, menβs wear, and carrying out both major and minor repairs and alterations to everyday clothing.
