Gorgeous 1950s black wiggle dress with n**e and black lace neckline. This dress is very reminiscent of a Peggy Hunt dress. Very fitted and very sexy. Dress has three quarter sleeves with slight gathers. Made from a very soft wool blend. Not scratchy or itchy. Condition is excellent with exception of 6 pin holes around the bottom on front. Dress did have a metal zipper but had to be replaced. Measurements:
Bust: 38" - 40"
Waist: 28" - 29"
Hip: 36" - 38"
Length: 43"

Next garment is a gorgeous 50s cardigan. This is a true bombshell cardigan. Sequins galore. Cardigan is made from lambswool but is fully lined so not itchy at all. Colour resembles a n**e shade and it is heavily encrusted with blush pink sequins and clusters of little pearls. There is also scattered sequins all over it. Label reads "Fully Fashioned sweater by Cherry Scott". Size marked is 38. Condition is excellent. Measurements:
Bust up to 38" (96.5 cm)
Waist up to 32" (81 cm)
Length 18.5" (47 cm)

Next item is a cute 50s repro bathing suit. Suit is made from black cotton with white piping. Back is shirred and suit has bloomer panties and cute flounced skirt. Condition is excellent. There is a label reading "Lazy Bones" which is a repro Australian label. Size marked is "M" but measurements are:-
Bust: Up to 37" (94 cm) (snug 38" (96.5 cm)
Waist: Up to 29" (73.5 cm)
Hips: Up to 39" (99 cm)

50s Floral Windswept Cotton Dress. Details are:
Fitted shirtwaist bodice with cuffed short sleeves
Super full skirt
Made from a crisp high quality 100% cotton
The dress has a lemon and grey windswept print with blue and white flowers.
This dress is in excellent condition and the metal zipper had to be replaced due to breakage

Happy 2015 from Edna Goes Abroad. I will be posting lots of gorgeous vintage clothing soon and I start with this stunning gold lame 1950s dress. This dress is so Marilyn Monroe. Details are:-
Price drop on 1950s gold lame dress by Gigi Young. Details are:-
Very fitted bodice with low square neckline
Princess seamed fitted skirt
Material is a champagne gold lame
Dress is fully lined
Label reads "Gigi Young" which I believe to be the sister label of Suzy Perette.
Measurements: Bust 37" (94 cm)
Waist" 27" 68.5 cm)
Hips: 38" (96.5 cm) - 39" (99 cm) (snug)
Length: 44" (112 cm)
The dress is in great condition with the exception of a tiny mark on front skirt and one tiny mark on back on the seam.

Stunning 1950s Nat Kaplan lipstick red dress.

Brief details are:-
Measurements:
Bust: 38" (96.5 cm) - 40" (101.5 cm)
Waist: 28" (71 cm)
Hips: 40" (96.5 cm) (101.5 cm)
Length: 42" (106.5 cm)

This dress is in good condition but does have a few pulls in the fabric. Mainly under one arm and on the draping of the bodice which draping hides. There a few pulls on the skirt. There is also a faint mark on the back of the skirt towards bottom and a light mark on the waistline but the draping hides this. The bow also has a small hole. This dress has been priced accordingly.

Fitted sleeveless bodice
Full box pleat skirt
Series of large bows running vertically down front of dress and material is a white cotton pique. This is the outstanding feature.
Sturdy quality cotton in blue abstract print
Metal zip was replaced due to breakage
This dress is in excellent condition with only flaw being extremely light yellowing on tiny bit of white strip on neckline. Barely seen.

Very full drop waist skirt
Dress is made from a high quality cotton with a full circle skirt
Condition is excellent with exception of a small patch of extremely light fading on waistline. You can barely see it.

Fitted black velvet bodice with scalloped neckline and cap sleeves
Super full black taffeta skirt with beautiful rose print that appears to be screen printed.
Dress bears label which reads "Aldernaire The Junior Shop". Dress closes with a side metal zip.
