Hi I am Jos, I can create your dream dress or outfit, suitable for weddings, proms, formals etc. I do dressmaking, custom designs and alterations.

I pay attention to detail and work with you to create something that not only fits but flatters as well. Hi, I am Jocelyn Vowles. I have had a passion for sewing for as long as I can remember. My Mum taught me so much and I love challenging myself with new ideas, looks and techniques. I work with clients to create a design, or copy a designer gown, purchase fabric, make the dress or outfit, through to finishing touches, like veils, fascinators etc.

Every piece of denim used in my Denim Bomber jackets is re-purposed! I collect jeans, skirts, and jackets knowing there is so much more life in the fabrics!! Every one is unique, fully lined and uses feature elements of embroidery, hand stitched doilys, sherpa and more. These are part of my collection heading to this Sunday 9am til 3pm.

No wonder shes a proven favourite!!, every single Retro Bomber jacket is completely unique. Always fully lined, plus a cosy cotton wadding inner, she the ideal winter jacket. And I really delight in using vintage and re-purposed fabrics, to make every one stand alone, no 2 are the same. This batch includes an Onkaparinga wool blanket, hand stitched tapestries, chenille bed spread, vintage brocade and a couch cover. My ideas for reuse are endless 🫶

INTRODUCING 🥁🥁🥁 The Patchy Fleece (affectionately known as the Ugly Sweater 😉). New to the Two by Jos line up, made with saved, salvaged and re-purposed knits and fleecy, she is very 80's inspired. Made to stand out and be worn with confidence . She's cute, cosy and this batch is a very limited run (my fabrics didn't go as far as I imagined).
All on their way to this Sunday, May 31st, Adelaide Show Grounds Brick Dairy.

New Two by Jos pieces in production!!
I am really leaning into the Vintage fabrics in this batch!!! My love of collecting over the years is really like a treasure chest of combinations 🫶. This run includes brocade over 50yrs old, hand- stitched tapestry panels and an Onkaparinga pure wool blanket. And so much more. Loving each and every one of these original jackets. And even more to come!!

I am excited to take my creative ready-to-wear range Two by Jos to Adelaide, and be part of the awesome market. I am busy, busy, busy creating more unique pieces to be available on the day. Spread the word with your Adelaide friends, save the date in your phone and pop in if you can, I would love to see some friendly faces too. I will also be sharing my market stall with my talented friend Shelley Westbrook, who will be selling a gorgeous range of preserved flower arrangements 🫶

Blinked and I am already in April!! Amongst my lovely line up of wedding sewing, I made this pretty dress for a black tie wedding in late February . Having sewn for Kellie before, we knew shapes that flattered her, and based this gorgeous royal dress around those starting points. Added a super stunning shoulder bow, in glass organza, and pulled it together with a waist band and false wrap skirt front. #

Well that's a wrap for my 2025 working year 🫶 I feel extremely blessed to have worked with some amazing new clients, to have sewn new creations for treasured friends, loved ones and valued clients. Thankyou for your support of my business and my passion, it really means the world to me.
I am not officially sewing again til January 19th, in the mean time I plan some quality family and friend time, me time and possibly some sewing for myself x I hope the festive season brings you love, happiness and relaxation.
