Advanced notice of the Annual Steam Engine Fair Event on Saturday 3rd and Sunday 4th July from 8am at Old Petrie Town 901 Dayboro Road Petrie - (Whiteside in your satnav)
Clubs and associations from all over Queensland will be sending antique steam engines of all types and sizes from tabletop models to working steam rollers and tractors to huge industrial ones with 5 metre flywheels that spew out clouds of steam everywhere. The enthusiasts set up their displays on saturday for public viewing and then the big family day on Sunday with all the normal food stalls and children's attractions including a grand parade of all steam and vintage vehicles, not forgetting a mob of steampunk people who dress to the nines for the event.
My Mother's will be displaying a heap of old technology items for sale on the saturday in keeping with the vibe of the event. (see photos )
