All information is as follows!!
Date and Time
Thursday 29th Feb 2024 at 4.30pm for a 5pm start.
The first session will be organising the teams, and a few small fun games, then the following week will be the proper competition.
Age Groups & Cost
4yr old – 8yr old. $2 per player per game. (Mini)
9yr old – 11yr old. $2 per player per game. (Mod)
12yr old – 15yr old. $2 per player per game. (Tween)
16 yr old and above. $5 per player per game. (Open)
Team numbers
Teams of 10 – 12 players preferred. 7 players on field at any given time. (For all age groups).
4-8yr old Age Group each team to always have a minimum of 2 adults (16+) and maximum of 3 adults (16+) on field.
9-11 yr old Age Group each team to always have a minimum of 1 adult (16+) and maximum of 2 adults (16+) on field.
12-15yr old Age Groups each team to have an optional (and maximum) of 1 adult (16+) on field at any time.
16yrs & above each team to have an optional (and maximum) of 1 junior (15 and under) on field at any time.
Game Length
All games to be 10 min halves, with 3min halftime/changeover. And a 5 min gap before the next game starts.
1st half – 10mins
Halftime – 3-5mins
2nd Half – 10mins
Total – 23-25 mins
Rules
4-8yr old Age Group – Tag belts and tags to be worn. No kicking in general play. No conversions. Regular Mini/Mod rules apply for tackle count & running out of field of play. NO markers. Maximum of 3 interchanges per half, this is to ensure fair playing time for all.
9-11yr old Age Group – 6 “tackles”/touches per set. Kicking in general play allowed. No conversions. NO markers. Maximum of 3 interchanges per half, this is to ensure fair playing time for all.
12-15yr old Age Group – 6 “tackles”/touches per set. Kicking in general play allowed. No conversions. NO markers.
16yrs & above – 6 “tackles”/touches per set. Kicking in general play allowed. No conversions. NO markers.
NO Swearing, swearing of any kind will result in a send off for the remainder of the game and suspension for the rest of that night’s fixtures. Teams to follow personnel rules as mentioned in Team Numbers.
All registrations go into an age group pool. From that pool players will be randomly allocated to a team. This is to ensure no player stacking and a fair social environment for all.
Requests to keep siblings and parents together and in the same team will be fulfilled as best as possible.
Once allocated a team players will need to play in a shirt or singlet that is predominantly the same colour as their team name.
