THE SHIFT...

It all became clear

So crystal clear
She was surprised
She hadn't seen it sooner

She had felt stuck
In the perpetual merrygoround
Of doubt and indecision
Of feeling confused
That her life had stagnated
Like treading water

As she sat in her circle
And watched the birds
That swept around her
And sang to the glory
Of Mother Earth
The light broke through

"Go with the flow"
Came the message

But what did that mean
She asked them

Stop resisting that which you want
Stop pushing against the current
Stop striving and start living

And BOOM!

There it was
She now realised that
While she continued to yearn
And wish for that which she knew
Was her destiny
Her calling
She blocked it
Subconsciously, but effectively

She straightened her shoulders
Threw back her head
And laughed
At the simplicity of it all

For she had spent so much time
Telling the same story
And expecting change
Now she understood
That she needed a new story

A story that included all the things
She wished and yearned for

She now allowed them into her sphere
She embraced them
Welcomed them
Went with the flow of joy and acceptance

She aligned with herself
And her passions, gifts

She stopped pushing against the tide
Dropped the oars of striving
And allowed herself to drift
Peacefully and easily in the flow
Of her new story

THE CURSE OF SELF DOUBT

It was back
Slowly, it had returned
Crept in unannounced
Silent, insidious

She hadn’t even noticed
Until it slapped her
With the unkindness
That it brought

It taunted her
Teased her
Mocked her
With its cruel intention

She had worked so hard
To release it
Remove it
And still it reared its head

She wondered now
What had happened
To make it return
And seize her power again

What did she lack
That allowed this monster in
What had she allowed
To lapse, retreat
And leave her vulnerable
To her mind, her ego

She reminded herself now
That it was only temporary
It didn’t have to continue
To haunt her thoughts

It was just a moment
Just a crack
In her perfect vessel
A small intrusion
By an unwelcome guest

What do I need, she thought
To turn this around
To reframe my passage forward
To realign with my power

She stopped, breathed
Reminded herself
How magical she was
How she held the power
To change her direction
Choose a new path

She placed her hands
On her solar plexus
Breathed deeply of the energies
That surrounded her
Felt the surge of the spark
As it became a flame
Once again

She was back......

THE MESSAGE

It came through loud and clear
She heard it
Then doubted herself

Speak Up
They told her
Spread Your Truth
Others need to hear

Who, she wondered
And who was she to speak
She was but one
A lone voice, quiet

This is not the time to be quiet
They reminded her
The Earth needs your voice
Needs your passion
To keep evolving, mending, healing

But how, she asked

Just start, speak up
Tell others your feelings
Let them know they are not alone
As they navigate this time of uncertainty
Sadness, loss and fear

So many are unaware
Frightened, lost, blinded
Isolated from truth and life
Treading water in a world
Of disconnection and discontent

Connect with them
Create the future
That is available
And can be found
Through coming together
In support and unity

Shine your light, they said
Stoke it with love and joy
That others may feel brave enough
To stoke theirs and shine brightly

Speak of life, love, loss and joy
Speak of small and large
Speak of hope and wonder
Kindle the flame of peace

Ignite the fire in their bellies
Tell them they are powerful
Remind them they are magical
Encourage them to explore

Find Your Voice

She sat at the keyboard
Not knowing where to start

She closed her eyes
Listened, waited
and then it happened

She began....
