Evening all,
Have you met Peter from Maroubra Shoe Repairs on Maroubra Road? A few weeks ago I was in a predicament with my house keys and he was most hospitable and helpd me resolve my issues. He would have to be one of the nicest blokes around and nothing is ever a problem. A definite local and someone who is very much appreciated in our community.

Unfortunately we have been notified today that we are close contacts to a Covid positive person.
We will be isolating for 2 weeks and will have to close the shop for that amount of time.
We will be back in the shop on Monday the 27th of September.

It is with the heaviest of hearts we share the sad news of the passing of Gary Serhan, the original cobbler of Maroubra Shoe Repairs.

Gary first opened the shop 30 years ago in 1991.

Over this time with his kindness, generosity, cheeky sense of humour and greeting all by calling them habibi, his customers were not only customers but became life long friends.

He had a strong presence in the community, touched the heart of everyone he met and was loved by many.

His legacy will live on through his daughter Natasha Mitry and son in law Peter Mitry who will continue to run the family business.
