A proud milestone for our Founder, Yesha Patel. ✨
We’re incredibly proud to share that our Founder, Yesha Patel, has been featured in the Herald Sun (Trusted news for Victoria) as one of the Indian-Australian entrepreneurs making an impact across Victoria.
What began in 2019 as a simple wardrobe clean-out quickly became something much bigger.
After moving to Melbourne, Yesha found herself with a pile of clothes that were too worn to donate, but nowhere to responsibly recycle them. When she discovered the scale of Australia’s textile waste problem, she knew something had to change.
That moment became the beginning of After.
Today, After helps households, businesses, councils and organisations across Australia and New Zealand give end-of-life textiles a second life through certified recycling partners, keeping valuable materials in circulation and out of landfill.
When asked what advice she’d give aspiring entrepreneurs, Yesha shared:
“Solve a problem you’ve actually experienced. The hard days are much easier to push through when you genuinely believe the thing you’re building needs to exist.”
This recognition is more than a personal milestone, it’s a reminder that purpose-driven ideas have the power to create meaningful change.
Congratulations, Yesha, on this well-deserved feature. And thank you to our community, partners, and customers for being part of the journey. Here’s to creating a future where every textile has an, After. ♻️💚
