This is exactly why we do, what we do.
Over the past year, we’ve now received approximately 20+ reports from fellow riders who have walked away from crashes with significantly reduced injuries while wearing the HOOLIGOON Armoured Gear Range.
These aren’t race tracks. These aren’t controlled environments.
These are real riders, on real roads, having real accidents.
Trinity (cargo pants picture) lost control of her motorcycle in a corner and low-sided at approximately 40-50km/h, sliding for an estimated 10-15 metres along the road. The photos show the aftermath. While the gear took minor scuffing, it did exactly what it was designed to do - protect the rider when it mattered most.
Another rider, who has chosen to remain anonymous (white hoodie picture) struck a large pothole on the Geelong Freeway while travelling at approximately 100km/h. The impact caused her to lose control and separate from the motorcycle, sliding for around 20 metres across the road surface. Despite the severity of the crash, she escaped with only minor road rash.
Every crash is different. No gear can guarantee injury prevention.
But hearing these stories reinforces why protective gear matters.
When we started HOOLIGOON, the goal wasn’t just to make riding gear look good. It was to create protection that riders would actually wear every day. Whether they’re commuting to work, heading out with mates or learning to ride.
Seeing riders walk away from crashes and message us afterwards is something we’ll never take lightly.
