Shoplifting incident that occurred at our store on 29/08, has been reported to the Police!

She walked in and picked up three pairs of pants (1x Black, 1X Khaki, and 1x Black) The item she stole was actually the very first pair she picked up.
She removed one pair from the hanger, threw the hanger onto the floor and then kicked it underneath the floor (first cctv 0.46-0.48) stock to make it difficult to see.
She then folded the black pants and placed them between the other two pairs, making it look as though she only had two pairs.
She waited until staff became available and then asked our staff member to look after her trolley, something that appeared to be a way of gaining the staff member’s trust. She then went to the fitting room, taking her handbag from the trolley with her.
She took all three pairs into the fitting room and eventually returned two pairs along with the clip hangers.
Our staff member went to return the two pairs to the floor. On CCTV, you can see the confusion because the pants had only just been fixed on the floor a few minutes earlier and the staff was sure there were 2 pants and now only one.
At the same time, the staff checked further, they found the empty hanger hidden underneath the floor stock. The CCTV also shows the staff member picking up the hanger from the floor. The full cctv has been provided to the police, unable to post it here!
The amount of planning and effort that went into stealing one pair of pants was honestly unbelievable. I genuinely wish that effort and creativity had been put towards something productive instead!
