For those of you who receive my Pop-ins newsletter, you're likely to have heard the news. For those who haven't ....

I don’t know if it’s just me, but when I order online, I can’t wait for the package to arrive - and at this time of the year, shipping delays feel even more frustrating.

To alleviate this, I’m offering COMPLIMENTARY EXPRESS POST shipping AUSTRALIA WIDE, for all purchases from my online shop, until 11.59pm on Wednesday 17 December 2025.

I’ve chosen this deadline to give me time to carefully prepare packages (you wouldn't believe the amount of time this actually takes!!) & post them, to maximise the chance of your package arriving at your doorstep before Christmas.

PLEASE NOTE: At this busy time of the year, I can't guarantee you'll get it by before Christmas, but by offering Express Post, I'm hoping to significantly increase the chance of doing so, and taking the edge off the pain of any delays.

Please feel free to ask me any questions by DM here on Instagram or via email - [email protected].

PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE!

It's already October, and I need to get my skates on if I'm going to make several more A5 notebook covers this side of Christmas.

I've measured and cut the internal lining pieces and ironed on the interfacing, as well as cut the outer-shells using these tapestry fabrics.

Now, I'd like to ask a BIG favour, as I tend to get caught up in procrastination ....

Please let me know (either in the comments below, or by DM) in order of preference, which of these tapestry fabrics you think I should use to make into A5 notebook covers?

The first one I pop down is a cream/crimson floral, the second is a William Morris inspired blue floral, the third is what I call "Cottage Treasures", for want of a better name, and the top/last one is a brick and vine.

Please let me know! Thank you in advance. ❤️

IS IT JUST ME??!!!! .... who feels like it takes longer to get their shop listing ready than it took to make their creation in the first place?

From taking photos and videos, to accurately describing ... to taking more photos, changing the description ...
.. And then realising that I've taken all my photos in 9:16, which is great for reels, but not so great for 4:5 carousels or 1:1 newsletter images ... ggrrr...

Well, I got there, and I've now listed my first refillable A5 notebook cover in my online shop.

As I mentioned the other day, I HAVE CURRENTLY ONLY MADE ONE TO LIST FOR SALE IN THIS FABRIC.

Would love for you to pop over to my online shop to have a look and feel free to DM me if you have any questions or would like to see more photos! ❤️

SHOP DROP THIS WEDNESDAY!

I'll be listing my first refillable A5 notebook cover in my online shop on Wednesday 8 October

Price will be $79.99 including parcel postage (tracked & signature)

As I mentioned the other day, I HAVE CURRENTLY ONLY MADE ONE TO LIST FOR SALE IN THIS FABRIC.

As in the past, notification of exact time of my shop drop will first happen via my newsletter - so be sure to subscribe to my newsletter (link in bio) to make sure you know exactly when the shop drop happens.

I'll then post shop drop details on social media platforms.

The other day I also mentioned that I'm planning on making a few more A5 notebook covers this side of Christmas, each with a different tapestry fabric. I've since chosen several fabrics and details are coming soon on that too.

Here are a few photos with detailing of my newly designed work/business/laptop tote.

Features of my work/business/laptop tote include:

- longer handles so it can be carried elegantly on the shoulder so there is no need for a cross-body strap (which I personally didn't like as I found it would rub and damage my work clothes across the front),

- a spacious interior with water-resistant canvas lining,

- a padded section for a decent sized laptop, and

- a zippered pocket and three extra pockets which can even hold a water bottle.

This is a prototype and I intend to make a few tweaks to this design when I make the next one (I can't help myself..).

ARE THERE ANY FEATURES YOU THINK WOULD BE GREAT TO INCLUDE IN A WORK/BUSINESS TOTE? Would love to hear in the comments.

No 18. TRAVEL BACK IN TIME TO THE 1800s

This week's painting from the Petit Palais in Paris is for - "En soirée - Madame Pascal Blanchard" by George Desvallières (1903) ❤️

This lovely artwork is from just a touch after the 1800s (1903), but I'm sure no one here will mind!

I wonder what Madame Pascal Blanchard was viewing and thinking as she gazed across the room ...

Maybe she was recalling the following which she had read on soirees in her copy of the 1875 Ladies Book of Etiquette:

P44:

"EVENING PARTIES - ETIQUETTE FOR THE HOSTESS.

The most fashionable as well as pleasant way in the present day, to entertain guests, is to invite them to evening parties, which vary in size from the “ company,” “sociable,” “ soiree,” to the party, par excellence, which is but one step from the ball.

The entertainment upon such occasions, may vary with the taste of the hostess, or the caprice of her guests...
Small parties called together for dramatic or poetical readings, are now fashionable, and very delightful.

In writing an invitation for a small party, it is kind, as well as polite, to specify the number of guests invited,
that your friends may dress to suit the occasion. To be either too much, or too little dressed at such times is embarrassing. "

Do you think that Madame Pascal Blanchard enjoyed the evening? Was it to her taste? Was she over/under-dressed for the occasion?

I'm excited to begin making some device/book pouches in this vibrant vintage fabric, in the standard sizes I've previously made.

I'm also thinking of designing a smaller ereader/kindle sized pouch and possibly even a small iphone pouch, if there is sufficient interest! ❤️ YAY or NAY?

I'd also like to hear if you think that a handbag, work tote or weekender bag would be great in this design too, or if I should just stick to device pouches with the fabric.

Please share your comments/thoughts below. ❤️
