An icon of 1970s Italian design, the Sciangai folding coat stand was created in 1973 by Jonathan De Pas, Donato D’Urbino and Paolo Lomazzi for Zanotta. Inspired by pick-up sticks, its beechwood poles unfold into a sculptural, stable form. Beautifully simple and functional, Sciangai won the prestigious Compasso d’Oro Award in 1979.
