Have you ever had those really productive days where you get so much done! And you’ve ticked off so many things on your TO DO LIST ✅?!? Yesterday wasn’t one of them for me 😂.

It’s because I got distracted by my Cicada embroidery. I LOVE this cute design ❤️. I decided I needed to embroider it on my shoulder on my jumper 🥰. But then I couldn’t stop. I kept embroidering it randomly. I ended up doing 11 cicadas all over my jumper.

Each cicada takes 30min to embroider by machine (that’s with no thread breakage on a smooth run). I did 11!! So I did maths (that’s right maths) and I wasted 5.5hrs yesterday embroidering cicadas !!! More because lots of breakage.

I was looking forward to wearing it today. Because I love the cicadas and wanted people on the tram/train to see it 👀 lol. But I can’t even do that, because it’s 29degrees today in Melbourne 🌞🌞🌞!!! So it’s pretty hot.

Anyway, I could have gotten so much done in 5.5hrs. But I didn’t, because I was unable to control myself from embroidering beautiful cicadas on my jumper. Which is also kind of ok. Because it was fun and now I have a jumper with my cicada friends, which I adore. And not many people have that 😂.

In other news, enjoy this 29degree spring day in Melbourne! 🌸🪻🌺🌷🌻🌼!! Bees love it!

Wow! GOODMORNING it’s another beautiful 28degree spring day in Melbourne 🌸🌺🪻🌺🌷🌻🌼. And I have noticed more people in a good mood out and about 🥰.

I’ve been using our public transport a lot lately, because I get to sit down and not think for a while! Today I decided to time how long it takes to walk from Flinders Street Train Station to one of Melbourne’s iconic laneways, Centre Place. 1min17sec, if you were wondering 🚶🏽.

Anyways, I will be in the shop today because I love it but also, lots of embroidery to do and planning for Christmas time 🎁🎄🎅!

One of Australia’s most iconic native birds, the Australian magpie is a great singer, it’s beautiful warbling song is highly recognisable to Aussies 😂 . It's a really beautiful sound at 6am in the morning.

They are also extremely intelligent, and can recognise your individual human face, so if you are mean to it one day, it will know to swoop on you another day, should you ever walk past its territory.

But if you’re nice to it, it will also remember that, and have been known to form strong family bonds with humans they are familiar with. What super amazing birds 🐦.

It is now part of our embroidery family so you can request it on things. Here it is on our makeup bag that we have recently made, upcycled from denim jeans ♻️.
