Gio Ponti (18 November 1891 – 16 September 1979) was an Italian architect, designer, and writer whose visionary approach shaped the language of 20th-century Italian design. Over a career spanning more than six decades, Ponti redefined the boundaries between art, industry, and everyday life — celebrating beauty, lightness, and the poetic potential of form.

From the monumental Pirelli Tower in Milan to the delicate ceramics of Richard Ginori and the elegant furnishings of Domus Nova and Superleggera for Cassina, Ponti’s work reflected a lifelong belief that design could elevate the spirit and enrich daily experience. As founder and editor of Domus magazine, he became an international ambassador for Italian modernism, promoting dialogue between architects, artists, and craftsmen.

Bridging tradition and innovation, Gio Ponti combined the rational precision of modern architecture with the lyricism of the decorative arts. His legacy endures as a testament to the Italian ideal — that design, in all its forms, can be both functional and poetic.

Lucas Recchia is a contemporary Brazilian designer known for his innovative use of glass, stone, and metal in sculptural furniture. Based in São Paulo, his practice blends traditional craftsmanship with experimental techniques such as solar-powered glass fusing and recycled materials. Recchia’s work explores transformation — turning raw elements into functional, emotionally resonant pieces. His acclaimed collections, including Morfa, Janelas, and Material Distortion, feature fluid glass forms paired with Brazilian stones and bronze, creating striking contrasts in texture and weight. Recchia has exhibited internationally, from Milan Design Week to Melbourne Design Week, and is represented by leading galleries such as Bossa (New York) and Rossana Orlandi (Milan).
